Fully featured customizable Java framework to display and manage message based conversations - similar to Whats App or Messages. Quickly add text, picture and location based messaging functionality to your app.
You need to init ui helper before using the sdk, You can use default init if you want to test the sdk or use default components. The use of this class is to make the BaseComponents of the SDK Ui adapt to your LoginActivity, MainActivity and ChatActivity.

Hello Mr. Smiley, I represent a student's project group and we are implementing an android app. We will need the core version of your application since we have our own messaging back end and just need a user interface. I couldn't find information about the pricing in this case, so I thought I'll ask you directly :)
If you want to use the user interface, you can use the Github project - it's essentially the same as the Binpress version but has more bug fixes. You should just remove any components from the project that you want to use.

are these features there?
view other users profile
load earlier messages
block/unblock or ban/unban user
message and notification counter
profile and notification settings
I'm afraid that it's not possible to host the this chat on your own server. However, Firebase provides excellent value - most apps can support around 15k daily users on the free plan. We are developing a version that you can host but it's not going to be ready for Android until the start of December. If you would like more details you can send me a private message using the "request a quote" button.
I want to purchase chat sdk but i want to know if the following features exist;
View other users profile
Load earlier messages
Message and notification counter
User status(online/offline) and last seen
Settings-profile and notification settings like whatsapp and other IM messengers and privacy.
Since i can't change server is it possible to create an admin panel to manage data? do i have full control of the server? And can data encryption be handled easily on the server side?
From the list you mentioned, the only features that aren't currently supported are: block/unblock, invite (if you have someone's contact, you can message them. You don't need an invite), last seen and settings screen.
These features would be quite easy to add. In the past we've implemented a block user feature and it was a small amount of extra code.
all the others are there except block, invite, last seen and settings screen? and you code these features which are not there with an additional fee? and Since i can't change server is it possible to create an admin panel to manage data? do i have full control of the server? All the other features are there and we could add the extra features for an additional fee. We could discuss that more in the private thread. You have full access to the database via the Firebase REST API. We have an web admin panel that was built for our web messenger so it could be customised for this chat. Encryption would need to be handled on the client side. Encrypting and decrypting messages isn't difficult the challenge is making sure that the client has the encryption key. This coiled be achieved by using a supplementary server.
We are currently using Backendless for push notifications. They offer a very similar service to the one that Parse used to offer. They allow you to send unlimited pushes to up to 1 million devices for free.
I have my own application with a base chat functionality
I use my own server for hosting
I use standard http POST requests to send messages and GCM push to receive messages
I wanna extend the functionality to be able to organize different chat groups and to send media messages
Is your SDK able to be integrated to this infrastructure?
Can I see some integration documentation?
There are ways that you could achieve what you're trying to do. The first would be to use the user interface from the Chat SDK and write your own back-end adapter. This is the code that translates user interfaces actions into server requests.
To support group chats, you would need to make sure that functionality was supported by your server.
The second option would be to replace the messaging from your server with the messaging system used in this SDK. If you did this, you're gain all the functionality already present in the Chat SDK - group chats and media messages.
I prefer the first variant, to use the user interface from the Chat SDK and write your own back-end adapter.
I need to estimate the requirements of that adapter before I buy the Chat SDK for the interface.
Where can I get some description of the Chat SDK requirements for my back-end integration?
