Wow, Simply superb . I've a question, **iRate typically requires no configuration at all and will simply run automatically,** - How it gets called ? Even there is no init or nothing with this file . How the App get to know?

Will the rate prompt never get showed again if a user reviews the app? Will users who click "no, thanks" get reminded to rate the app again?

My app doesn't have an appdelegate.m file, how can I implement irate without this, is it even possible?
    • Nick Lockwood Publisher 4 years ago
iRate doesn't actually require you to include any code in your app at all. If you just include the iRate.h/m files in your project it will work with default settings.

Thanks for the quick response but I want to be sure it's working by testing with the preview feature.

OK, I tried running the app 15+ times one after the other to try and trigger iRate, but nothing is displayed. The install instructions say 'drag the files in to your project', I dragged them in to the Libs folder, should I drag them in to Classes or doesn't it matter? I also followed the 'Arc Compatibility' instructions. Neither does it display in the simulator. The console tells me 'NSLocalizedDescription=The requested operation has been cancelled or disabled by the user'. The 'bundle' file is installed, I don't see any other reference to iRate in the console.

Can you send me your project? If you can send either the whole project or a representative sample, I'll investigate. You can email it to support at charcoaldesign dot co dot uk

How does it work ? Can you explain briefly about ** it will work with default settings.**?

Thanks for the prompt reply (pun intended haha). I'm quite new to this, but how would i call the logEvent method after each level? Do you have an email I can reach out to you? Would love to get this working. Thanks!
    • Nick Lockwood Publisher 4 years ago
You can call the logEvent: method like this: [[iRate sharedInstance] logEvent:YES]; Look in the console to see feedback about exactly what iRate is doing and why.

How easy is it to use a significant event type feature, let's say if I want iRate to launch after playing 5 levels of my game.
    • Nick Lockwood Publisher 4 years ago
Easy. Just set the eventsUntilPrompt property to 5 and then call the logEvent: method after each level.

Its very good to Rate the app... I want to call the method not at appdelegate but in a specific method of some view controller. I tried to call it as above but it is not calling the delegate methods of iRate. Did anyone tried like me... Regards Vidhyanand

Hello, Firstly thank you for great work.I tried to implement this and got the error when I touch on "Rate it" button: iRate will attempt to open the StoreKit in-app product page using the following app store ID: 594422022 2013-04-07 23:40:36.197 ColorFlood[2429:907] Warning: Attempt to present <SKStoreProductViewController: 0x1dd6ab10> on <MainViewController: 0x1f025840> whose view is not in the window hierarchy! Anybody saw this issue before? Thanks,
