Magento QR Codes

QR Codes are fast becoming commonplace in the offline world; from print catalogs, to store windows, to television advertising, Quick Response (QR) codes are everywhere.

QR Codes for Magento allows you to easily and automatically generate QR codes for your entire catalog and your store's pages. Use them on the site itself with the integrated WYSIWYG widgets, or use them offline to let customers easily explore your store from mobile devices.

Every product and page automatically generates it's QR Code on the fly. To retrieve them, navigate to the product or page's edit page in the admin panel. A new tab labeled QR Code is available. Simple save the image on this tab as is, or enter a new size and hit 'download' to have a custom sized QR Code.

Also available in the product/page QR Code tab are:

• The QR Code's image src (for us in tags)
• The product/page's url (with query params appended)
• The product/page's shortened url (if configured)
• Embed code for easily adding the QR Code to html

Configuration is easy and comes with sane defaults. Under System -> Configuration, you'll see a new tab in the left pane under the General section, labeled QR Codes. Here, you can choose an optional url shortener to use for your QR Codes, as well as any url parameters you would like to add to all encoded addresses. The default value is 'source=qr'.
