Skitter is one the best open-source slideshow plug-ins for jQuery. We can define it in three words: simple, perfect, beautiful.
It comes with more than 30 animations, and many navigation types and view options.
This component for Joomla 1.5 is based on Skitter.
The package contains a component and a module. The component lets you create the slides within categories and the module allows you to display the slides of the chosen category.
Usage
To make the component work properly, follow these three steps:
- Create the categories.
- Create the slides and for each slide, specify a category.
- Enable the Skitter module. Dont' forget to choose the slides category to display.
For each slide created, you will have to define some parameters:
- label - The label or title of the slide
- published - Whether to publish or not the slide
- category - The slide category
- image - The image to display
- URL - The link to redirect to when a user clicks on the image.
The module lets you foremost control the slideshow appearance.
Installation Instructions
Unzip the package first. Then, install the component (com_skitter.zip) and the module (mod_skitter.zip).

Hi,
I'm french with a bad english...
I tried to use skitter instead a .jpeg in my template joomla 1.5, but i've some trouble with IE9. It works fine with IE7-8 and Firefox but not with IE9, I think it's because the jQuery document.ready is fired too early... Now I'm using a pure javascript slideshow.
