After a long hiatus, Binpress contests are back – and this time our theme is mobile development. We are giving away 20k$ in cash and prizes from companies such as Amazon, Tropo, Appsfire, Github and many more!

The rules are simple – submit a package that meets our publishing criteria, and tag it with “mc2011″. Approved submissions will be judged on attributes such as usefulness, development methodology and creativity. The 3 top components will be awarded amazing prizes, and will also be featured on our homepage for a week.

We can feel mobile components picking up steam in recent months, and we want to reward you guys for your efforts. Note that you can also submit previously approved mobile components by tagging it with the contest tag and letting us know in the component review comments.

Homepage and browse page redesign

On a side note, we recently launched a redesign of the homepage and browse page. The homepage now showcases featured components as well as several new segments, and the browse page features a new filtering and browsing interaction. We are already noticing an uptake in sales as a result, and will be looking to improve on it more in the coming weeks. Check it out and let us know what you think!
