On Wednesday, we held out very first event: Marketing to Developers. With over 150 attendees at Pivotal Labs in San Francisco, speakers from Github, Stripe, Mozilla, Appcelerator, Pebble, and RethinkDB shared how they grew their companies and what they’ve learned about — you guessed it — marketing to developers. Their know-how was packed into the evening’s two presentations and a panel, which you can watch (and listen to) below. If you’re building a developer-facing product or services, these talks are for you.

Engaging Community to Scale Community

Neeraj Gupta, Appcelerator’s SVP of Engineering and Product, presents his talk, “Engaging Community to Scale Community.” Slides for the presentation live here.

Everyone hates your marketing. Why don’t you?

GitHub Marketing Maven Kelly Shearon presents, “Everyone hates your marketing. Why don’t you?” Slides for the presentation live here.

Building a Developer Community

Diane Tate from Mozilla moderates a panel on building a developer community.

Diane from Mozilla wrote her own recap of the event, as did Laura D’ambrosio of Pantheon. Check out their write-ups for highlights from the talks.

Our next event is tentatively scheduled for January, and you can get all the details by joining out Meetup group. See you in 2015!
