We’re kicking off a brand new podcast to interview people across the spectrum of software development: from independent devs making a living on their projects to folks at software outfits now considered titans in their respective arenas, open source or otherwise.
The inaugural podcast highlights James Tauber, founder and CEO of Eldarion, a web agency with an incredibly rich foundation in open source. They’re the force behind the Gondor Python hosting service, as well as Pinax and more than 30 open-source Django apps. James covers how he transitioned from academia to startups, how Eldarion relies on open source to quickly launch a variety of projects, the distributed nature of working of an open-source team and much more. And, of course, his obsession with Tolkien.
